FOUNDERS
VIVIAN CARBONELL
Carbonell Design Studio was founded by and features the work of artist and designer Vivian Carbonell. Each handcrafted collection is comprised of original and limited edition lighting, furniture and objects inspired by an emphasis on form as well as the core elements of each material chosen. In addition to the integration of fine art and design practices the driving force of the work is fueled by a lifelong passion and curiosity of materials and their origins. The ‘life history’ materials carry and a strong emphasis on all natural variations. The language created by the myriad versions, textures, weights, colors and the dialogue involved in striking the perfect balance between raw and refined material qualities. In the end, these equilibria ensure each piece created evokes both warmth and modern elegance stemming from a graceful synthesis of form, tone, balance and structure.
